No doubt about Kubota quality and design, if you can get past the sticker shock. YT is a site devoted to Yesterday's Tractors and as such, relates to vintage or older tractors. Kubota is a new design tractor of the highest quality but not in the same league as a collectable. Perhaps the first question should be, "Do I want a newer tractor or a vintage tractor?" If you want a newer tractor, I would recommend the Today's Tractor Magazine (see the left column under Related Sites). If you want a vintage tractor, you will have to expect to spend some time working on it and using it the way it was designed to work. You will have the pleasure of maintaining a piece of American history as well as pocketing a HUGE chunk of cash. I have a Massey Ferguson 2135 with a 6' front loader. It is a true workhorse and only cost me $3500. A comperable Kubota will set you back a second mortgage but will come with a lot of new fangled doodly-doos. Either way, you're tractorin'. Most of us would love to have one of those orange rice burners along side of our vintage stock.
