you may have an air leak in the fuel system. With engine OFF. open the bleed valve on top of fuel filter housing and push on the primer pump located on top of the filter housing. Fuel should spray out the bleed valve. If it takes many pumps before fuel is coming out, you have an air leak. Air leaks are possible around the primer pump and fuel fittings at the control module located on the right valve cover. a new fuel filter assembly is available [GM part# 12633243].
