You should have have battery voltage to that fuel pump with the ignition switch on. I replaced a pump in a Chevy Citation that had the TBI injection. Use a volt meter or a test lite to see if you have voltage to the pump. Your local Chevy dealer probably has a service manual stored somewhere. They may be able to make a copy of the wiring diagram. I had a fuel gauge on the Citation since it would just quit like it ran out of gas. I think the pressure was suppose to be around 15 or 16 psi. I noticed on a hard pull the pressure would drop. I decided to pull the tank and it was full of rust and crud. I vacuumed it out with a wet or dry vacuum cleaner. I decided to install new pump since it was a lot of work to remove the tank and drain it. I bought the pump at PepBoys. Cost was about $50.00. That fixed the problem. You can run a separate hot wire back to the pump from the battery. There should be an electrical connector outside the tank that you can separate and feed voltage to the pump. Hal
