A thorny question.

Just finished brush hogging a 20 acre field that had been let go for several years. There were numerous multifora rose and assorted hedge trees along with another tree of some type with thorns on it. During the work I got several thorns embedded in the tires. I tried to pull them out with needle nose pliers, but could only get part of most of them. I realize this is a hazard of the work. I tried to be as careful as I could, but still got some of the thorns. Question is will this hurt anything? The tires are not leaking at all. I've been told that the thorns may stay in the tire for years and might eventually work through and puncture the tube, but it might be many years. Anyone else have this trouble? Opinions please.
