I can,t tell you right of the top of my head. The 478 and 549 are the same eng except in cu in but don,t know whether it is bor or stroke that changes it. I am thinking they ran diffrent cranks so the diffrence would be stroke. Go to your local NAPA store find the old counter guy that has been there 30 years they have a book that gives part numbers and what they fit can cross it all out. I am almost certain the farm tractor has a diffrent pin placement, would not work .
