The I beam type were used ion most of the 42 2N's according to Pripp's restoration guide. A better check would be the serial number. They all sart with 9N, but the years and serial numbers are listed in the website below. As for pegging them by what features, that's a tough one. as so many have changed hands, and repaired from junk parts, it's hard to tell. those oval radius rods often got bent, so the I-beam style were often aded from junkers......
