The Universal tractors I know of were made in Romania under license from Fiat. Long rebadged them for years and sold them in the US. I believe they were sold under through their own Univesral dealer network in Canada. The Long versions are known as pretty rough but fairly tough & simple to work on. Google "Long 445" and you should see something similar to what your looking at and some prices for comparison.
