We boutht a van about ten years ago and experienced the same problem with repugnant smoke that was worse during wet weather. We tired all the easy tricks,,none worked. We took it to the dealership,,and they did something,,that did not work. Finally, we took it to a profesional smoke removal place that does bars,,etc. We paid about $150. In the end nothing really worked and we ended up selling the van at the side of the road as a slight loss.
The real test of the pudding, is can you get rid of the smoke smell during spells of wet weather.
