Dick , that's a lot of gas. I brush hog my front field every time the grass gets up around 2 feet high. The field is 6 acers of thick grass. I mow it with a 6 foot rotory mower , behind an Oliver "770" tractor. It takes me about 4 hours and 4 gallons of gas. When people say 6 gallons per hour , What are they doing with that tractor? I've had a couple John Deere "A" tractors , and have run Farm-All "M" tractors. They seemed to be about the same on fuel to me , which is not very good compared to my oliver.
