yea I was watching the news yesterday,and it was strange, you would see a fire with 10 houses setting there 5 or 6 blocks away one would be on fire,it amazes me that firefighters can even put out a fire in that kind of wind.especially when those dang cedars just explode sending sparks everywhere.we were lucky at our place this time.one good thing, those old hay fields will be a lot better generally for being burnt off.
