Most of the time an HP ink jet printer or all in one priter-fax-etc etc will not work unless it has the port all to itself. Sometimes you can get it to work, but it's very rare.

We suggest that you do in fact add the second port, or get a USB scanner if your computer has USB.

And before you peolpe attack me, just remember I didnt design em, I just support em.
