Thanks for the pictures, sure brought back memories. Dad had a #4 Deere horse drawn mower, I think new in 1937. As the years of designing machines went by, I think that #4 should be awarded a design prize...look at its design for function, creative pattern work, with a perfect balance of choice of materials that solved the ground driving need for weight, enclosed, efficient gearing...sorry, I'll get off the soap box.
