If you live in Oregon then its your duty to notify the Sheriff that they are loose an on your property. If you don't and you keep the cattle then you can be charged with Cattle rustling. Good law for those of us who have cattle its not always possible to keep them critters in the pasture. But on the other hand you can go to jail in Polk county where I live if you don't keep them in.
