Works great, that is how I rake hay. In fact, I lost my regular drawbar, been so long since I used it. But: Don't get just the cross piece with holes in it. You want the full swinging drawbar that goes on your lift arms. The cross piece-only doesn't allow you to turn very short, etc. We got a couple of the 9n models, welded them up a bit & made them fit the 960, nice! You can use this drawbar to raise & lower the siderake if you have a 2-wheel. Very, very handy. But as someone said, be real careful pulling heavy loads & lifting the drawbar. Makes the tractor unstable & flip over on top of you. Not good. Also lifting the drawbar too high will bind, bend, or break the hitchpin & hitch. DO NOT PULL HEAVY WAGONS ON HILLS. There is nothing holding a 3-point down. (ok, those hitches come with some 3-point stablizers, but you won't use them but once, and they are kinda flimsy anyhow.) So, you go down a hill, the wagon pushes, & the 3-point slams upward. Makes for a REAL different ride, if you don't break something. You do want stablizer bars. But, you'll like the up & down use of the hitch so much, you won't be using the one's that go to the top link, you'll use some that keep the arms from swaying. --->Paul

Some of them only bring their noses down out of the air long enough to look down them anyway. If you are like me you are only doing this old tractor stuff because you enjoy it. You
