the 9n jeep motor was labled the GP, as was the first 2000 g p (General Purpose) jeeps, none of which made it to combat.(all for training) Jeep was the name of a cartoon character in 1940. The head and cam are marked GP. Any good ford or jeep book would explain this. All non-tractor 9n motors had a place for a fuel pump- off the cam. The motor made 40 HP, and was very durable, but not enuf power.
