Most roads you'll be alright, but I always remember seeing a moving van hung up coming down a hill in San Francisco after the tractor started back down the hill with the trailer wheels still on the flat of the cross street. Another situation like that would be some of the railorad crossings where they build the road up to the level of a raised railroad bed, making for a pretty fair-size hump. If you're going to be on known routes that don't have that kind of thing, you'll do all right. If not, you need to develop an eye for them and be willing to find routes around them.
