My dad had some old tractors and he said he would give us each one so they would be taken care of. Well he ended up selling them to someone else and it didn't hurt my feelings at all. I didn't need any thing else to work on either. If it were here and mine I would feel like you do, that it would have to be fixed up.
There are people out there in different situations that have more time to spend on fixing these tractors than I do.
A lot of times letting go of the passed sure makes the present more relaxing and enjoyable.
If you keep them to keep from hurting his feelings you may end up just hurting your own feelings is my experience.
