I see that by the time I answer this that you have you questions answered already. I just wanted to add that I knew nothing of LP when I bought my first 70 John Deere. I learned more than I wanted very quickly. You see I spun a bearing on the crank the day I brought it home. It's amazing what one small glob of RTV can do to an oil port. Anyway, after rebuilding from inside out, I purchased another 70 model LP and neither one were a problem. I could go out with ice on the ground and hit the starter, then two pops later she was awake and ready to go to work. I could do two hard days work on a full tank of gas and seldom had to fill them when I was just mowing or putting out round bales. Great tractors in my book.
