How come you rebuilt so many dorfs did'nt you know they last a life time without it?? I agree it would be hard for a valve guide to be passing oil, and it could'nt have much power with 80 psi compression. That engine is like you said so simple I would stick a set of rings and bearings in it and lap the valves and go on with it. That would be alots cheaper than spinning a bearing and have to grind the crankshaft. I have seen them n tractors start to eat up the valves if you keep running them with low compression.
