John, I am aware of that. He may actually have a left and right plow but only chooses to attach one. It's easier to understand.
What he should understand from the git-go, is that plows that have long landsides will have to run level. That means the pull point dictates the plowing depth. He could have experimented by spacing the bolted attachment point many inches below where it is now. I am sure that when I was a child, I grasped that concept right away.
