I imagine everyone of us has something we like to run that we have sunk a small war pension into.

I personally would rebuild the engine before it might spin a bearing or start eating valves.

The book calls for 90 psi compression for a minimum so yes it's got at the very least worn out rings.

The good part of the compression check is that the compression is uniform. You should be able to build it for alots less money now rather than run it til it lays down.
