I agree with the rest of the guys I think you should finish the "B" first so we can see it running right You will not see that "C" running overnight as I would assume you expect.
The "Parts Fairy" may get disturbed if you don't use parts as they were intended. I know if I were him I'd feel disappointed.
You probably pulled that distributor off without setting the timing first. Another heart ache,or hold up. We want to walk you through the process but you can't get too anxious.
I hope there wasn't a piece of gasket or dirt on the mounting area for that carb. that you may have cracked the new one.
