The bubble wrap type plastic covers seem to help quite a bit if that's what your talking about. My parents had one on theirs and it definitely helped. We ended up getting the reel for it which made it a lot easier to take on and off. Just make sure when its rolled or folded up you keep it covered and out of the sun or it will cook itself together and damage it.
