Hey y'all I have a 1948 John Deere B tractor in the shop right now, it had broken cam/crank gears. I have replacements and started to put it together tonight, and found that the timing marks don't all line up at the same time on the same sides (there are two marks on the cam gear, one on each side about 120~or so degrees apart, on one the crank throw side of the crank gear, and one on the flywheel side of the govenor drive gear)(inside marks for cam, outside marks for magneto/gov?), or do I line the marks up on the opposing sides of the gears and just hope I have it right?
I think any of you who have overhauled a B know what I mean?! Any help is greatly helpful and greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
