The EPA would appreciate you using something other than Ethelene Glycol (anti-freeze) in your tractor tires. That stuff is not very healthy to have spill on the ground in the event of a tire leak. CaCl may be corrosive but it dilutes into the ground with little harm, after several rains. The reason for the CaCl is that it weighs so much more than water or anti-freeze. You only get 8# per gallon with water but CaCl adds an additional 5# per gal. My tires take 50 gal each so that makes the difference between 800# of water/anti-freeze/washer fluid or 1300# of CaCl. 500# of extra weight really comes in handy and I've Hammerite coated my rims already.
