Dan, I don't know where all that hostility towards the N's come from but for a small farm, it would be hard to beat an 8N. I can chose from a selection of (2) JD 40's, Case VAC, AC Model B, Farmall A to do a particular job and usually one of the (2) 8N's get the nod. There is a reason that there are so many N's around after 50 years. Junk wouldn't last that long nor would it command premium prices. I really believe it is one of the safer machines to operate. Compared to some of my row croppers (JD's and Case) it is an anchor.
