lanse, best advice i can give you is "dont assume anything" on the tractor. check all the fluids, maybe pull the oil pan drain plug and drain a cup or so of oil out and look at it real good. pull the distributor cap, check out the points and cap and rotor for corrosion. pull the spark plugs and squirt a couple tablespoons full of auto trans fluid in each cylinder, let em soak a day, be a good idea to get some atf or penetrating oil up on the valve train and let them soak too before you try to fire it up. if a valve is stuck open, you could bend one or crack a piston.
