Tell you what you'll see if you take it off and look inside. A square headed bolt with a wire soldered to it. I think it's supposed to be isolated from the housing and a thin nut on it first to hold it still, then the battery cable, then the nut that holds the cable on. It's slightly past the end of the windings. Does that sound right to everybody else?
