I use my trickler charger. Don't need an expensive charger with a timer. If you want a timer I would go to the local hardware store and just buy a timer to plug your battery charger into. If you do use a timer how would you know how long to set it for? You have to keep it on until the part stops bubbling/boiling/foaming. I've had parts hooked up for almost two days and over night many times. It sure does a good job. I bought a stainless bowl at Walmart for $7.00 and put my small parts in it. It works great when the container/anode surrounds the part you are trying to clean. A large coffee can works but it will only last about 4 days until it gets eaten thru.
