I don't think you are going to hear anything bad about certain models unless you ask about a particular example. The high production models of several brands still have lots of parts available, so that isn't a big issue. There are some rare tractors that show up occasionally though, and knowing that might help you. Again, this may make it either more desirable or less so, depending on what you want to play with. You might get an idea of what is available and then come back and ask the pros what they think about what you found. Of course you will also get to see folk's prejudice on which tractor color is best, but that is half the fun.
