I have a 2 post #9000 lift it's reversed and the cable run's under a plate on the floor. I have only 10'high ceiling, I can put a small car all the way up, but have to sit on a creeper chair to work under a truck. It's better than on your back on the ground brake job's perfect height. Don't be too concerned about the height you have, it is what it is. my .02
