It"s broad spectrum noise, and you probably would have little luck filtering it out. Culprit is probably using solid core wires, on an engine which is probably not even shielded by a hood/fenders, etc. Ham operators used to shield each individual plug wier in metal brade, or metal tubing, as well as the distributor. Carbon core wires do a lot to reduce the intereference due to ignition systems. Your problem is that there"s no way you can apply any filters and shielding at the source! Just pray that he destroys it quickly by misuse, and it doesn"t come by anymore!
