He was figuring 40% staight to the feds as income and SS tax, all other taxes aside. Add on top of that state, local, sales, sin and any other taxes that may apply. I'm sorry, but 50% plus in taxes is just wrong. Does Boston Tea Party ring a bell here? I think there was a country that tried this awhile back. Basically all the workers paid outragous taxes to the govt, then the govt in turn gave them everything they needed to live. They told them what to eat and where to get it from, what to drive and how much it would cost, how much fuel you were allowed for your car, where your children would go to school, etc, etc....
