The Allis B we had when I was a kid had hydraulics which seemed like it was factory. You're right, no 3 pt hitch unless you put it on yourself, which can be done and maybe even within your $2500 limit if the hyd is already there. Otherwise, I've seen Farmall Cubs and A's used for bellymounts. But there the problems are pretty much the same. Parts might be a little easier to come by with a Farmall and most of them had electric start. Lots of the Allis B's didn't. Does your wife have an opinion?
