I'm not really familiar with your specific engine but generally speaking oil doesn't leak out around spark plugs. I'd take some engine cleaner and clean the engine. If your lucky the oil around the plugs is leaking out of the valve cover gasket. (thick cork gasket between light metal valve cover and heavy cast iron cylinder head) Usurally simple to replace and cheap.
"Valve Seals" are under the valve cover (also called rocker cover) and also under the valve springs. Unless ya know a thing or two about these springs they have a tendancy to go SPROING and send two or three very little parts flying around your shop unless your face conviently slows them down. Not that it can't be done, just get someone who knows what they are doing to show ya how it's done.
