Thxx again! I had understood (or halfway assumed) these 2 and 3cyl AC'd were engines made by Vaughan Motor Works in Portland, OR, (who built the Vaughan Drag Saws and the Vaughan Flex-Tred Garden Tractors). Lamson Mobilift lift trucks (including little "standup" lifters) were also made here, and either one of my parts catalogs or an internet reference said one of the Mobilifts had a 3Cyl Vaughan air cooled engine. Just got a reply on smokstak from a man that has a Mobilift (model unknown) with a 2Cyl Wauk air cooled (maybe one of the Crosley 2Cyl AC'd??); trying to research isn't helped by "Mobilift" being used by several different companies, including one still in business! (Lamson (NOT Lampson) Mobilift was acq'd by MM/White, and the larger ones, at least, cont'd in production). Email pitybud@msn.com if you have further questions or interest. Take care.
