read bill(wis) response concerning a feedbag dress, i'm sure lots of folks here wore shirts made out of feed bags. my sweet grandmother, big momma we called her, on my moms side made me shirts all the time. i have plenty of photos of me in those shirts. they were usually made out of flour sacks (25 lbs.) or chicken feed sacks. i recall that chicken scratch feed sacks where for boys shirts.
