Thanks for all the advice. Yesterday I purchased a new Bush Hog brand model 3008 pull type. It's an 8 foot unit. I felt this would work better with the HP I have available. I also liked the way the unit was built better than I did the 10 foot model. The 8 foot is built heavier and the gear boxes are much heavier. While I do like JD equipment A LOT the Bush Hog dealer gave a better price and the unit came with a lift cylinder, cylinder stops to set height with, and safety chains for less money. Based on the above I had to go with the Bush Hog. Thanks again for everyones input.
