Of course, diesel will beat gas engine every time. A turbo engine will run cheaper than naturally asperated. Solid mechanical clutches with simple trannies run cheaper than fancy hydraulic or 'automatic' or 'hi-low' styles. Comparing apples to apples, the gas engined Olivers could run a little cheaper than other models during the '50s & 60's. Also older Oliver plows pulled easier than some other colors. So, there certainly is a difference. --->Paul
