Dad tried this on his combined a few year back when we still had R-12. Put the correct fitting on some hydraulic hose because the hose build did not have Freon spec hose. The hose lasted about 30 min. fittings held but the hose blew. I do not know what R-134 would do but I WOULD NOT USE HYDRULIC HOSE.
