I have used pull types several times but don"t like them because of the extra effort it takes to back them and it seems like it takes a 20 acre field to turn them around. I think you have plenty of tractor for an 8 ft. I have a 10 ft howse 3 pt I pull bheind my TN65D the front gets a little light but never any problems. On the JD bush hogs there is an exeptional price difference between the 7 ft single blade and the 8 ft double blade. I like the 10 ft because its wide enough past the tires to get close to the fence posts.
