I`m in S.E. Indiana and I think it was yr. before last we had a very warm march and the alfalfa was 8-10 inches tall and looked like we`d get a real early cutting of hay . Everybody took the wood down of the porch and prepared for good weather then April rolled around with freezing temps. and below avg. temps. all month . We ended up loosing a cutting that yr. instead of gaining one . Not many mushrooms that yr. , 9 yrs. out of 10 it`s always to somthing for mushrooms , to cold , to dry , to hot , my back hurts to much to go , etc.
