Dave, I don't understand what you're talking about. The 8N is extremely low-to-the-ground because it had to be to contend with a 2 bottom plow cantilevered off the back end. It sacrificed the ability to cultivate for this safety feature. In fact, last year my cousin rolled his Model 40 John Deere Row Cropper into a creek brush-hoggin' (with no injury). He didn't have an ORC and the mower didn't allow him to stop when he thought he could. I've never heard of an ORC failing by locking up. I wonder if anybody else out there has any history on that type of mishap.
