Tri-State Antique Engine and Threshers Assn. Annual Show

The 47th running of the Tri-State Antique Engine and Threshers Assn. Annual Show will be starting (as always) on the last Thrusday in July. This show runs 4 days featuring over 15 Steam Engines, 500 Gas, oil and diesel tractors, Stationary engines of all types, Antique Cars, and many other attractions. Events include Steam engine plowing using a John Deere 12 bottom 14 inch plow, threshing of wheat, corn shelling with a 1/3rd scale model of a 65 Hp Case engine providing the motive power to one of the many corn shellers, Steam Engine races, Prony Brake and baker fan demos, a parade of all equipment, a history of wheat harvest in the Great Plains demonstration, kids tug of war with a 3/5th scale model of a 16-48 Russel steam engine, along with much much more. Steam Engine rides along with other interactive activities are available and encouraged. Rare examples of equipment include an undermount Avery steam engine, a 1922 Holt Catapiller Self Propelled Combine (1 of 3 left in the world, the only fully operational), Bates Steel Mule tractor, Corliss stationary steam engine and others. Nightly entertainment includes a tractor pull on Friday night and BBQ's on Friday and Saturday nights. Location is the Northeast corner of Bird City Kansas right off of US highway 36. Bird City is located in Cheyenne County of Northwest Kansas, approximately 200 miles due east of Denver Colorado. Those wishing to bring their equipment to the show are welcome, advise the MC of the year make and model along with the owner/operatior of the equipment when you arrive. anything older than 1960 is allowed.
