Steve - The "Tired Iron" museum is well worth a visit. Their machinery collection is amazing. Lots odd and unusual tractors on display - not just your usual "F" Farmalls and unstyled Deere tractors. Your wife may enjoy it too: Lots of advertising, toys, household items, etc from the era; even turn of the century farm kitchen display. Figure on spending several hours to see it all. Last year they were open Sat/Sun/holidays from late April thru mid October - I presume the schedule is continued this year. Another good one nearby is "Ancient Tracks" in Canandaigua (Wheeler Rd just off US 20 between Toomey's Corners and Canandaigua). Collection is primarily old crawler tractors (LOTS of 'em!) but there's also antique road building machinery, farm tractors, trucks, etc. on display. Like Tired Iron, there's lot's of period advertising (oil company stuff, gas pumps, etc) and kid's toys on display too.
