I pull my Fifth-wheel camper all over the country with a 3/4 ton with a farm plate. My state(Mi) says I can use the veh. for personal use. I carry the book with me just in case. The big thing is use the veh for your own use and not for commercial use. Although I'm under 26,000 with a single axle truck which means I don't have to deal with scales and such. Around Mi.
