To fill motorized equipment from an L P holding tank; first, you must use liquid, this has to be taken from the bottom of the tank,or cylinder, a valve can be installed by your propane dealer in an outlet under one end of the tank. Next, to properly fill the tank on your unit,[about eighty per cent is full],you must either elevate the storage tank above the tank to be filled,or use an L P pump, manual or electric, [expensive]. One can get a certain amount of propane to flow by itself under its own pressure,if the tank is reasonably full, but you are working against pressure in the receiving tank, even when the unit quits running for lack of fuel there is still pressure in the tank.
