I think anybody owning a tractor should have a
ROPS on his tractor. Don't have one myself but
went in a Case dealership the other day and had
one priced for my MF165 and was surprised to find
out that those things are very expensive,about
$875 worth, to expensive for me rigth now. Now
I read about bbott's ROPS. At the dealership,
he told me that in Nova Scotia they were pushing
hard to have the ROPS mandatory, here in New Brun
swick I'm not sure. The dealer also told me that the ROPS would be certified. A self made one is
better than none at all. The dealer also told me
that if I hired somebody to work for me and used
my tractor that I should have a ROPS, which would
help me legaly in case of an accident?? But when
I see what bbott is doing, that ROPS seem to be
made out of material that is strong enough to
protect the driver. So what is a person to do if he wants some protection?
