I used to have a NI 3632, and now have a Gehl 1287 (built by NH, not sure of equivalant model). Will be going back to NI when I trade again, probably. Shields on Gehl/NH are flimsy, end up falling off, let manure fall onto sprockets and chains by the gearbox. NH uses little #40 roller chain for hi/lo... should use #50 or 60 in my opinion. NI (on the bigger models, anyway) uses a long PTO shaft with a constant velocity joint - easy angles on corners. NH uses a short shaft - sharper angles. Have to crawl underneath to grease the tandem axle pivot on NH (may not be an issue for the size you're looking at?) NI has a larger pivot surface for the tailgate, and is greasable. Beater on NI was still good when I traded it... I need new teeth on the Gehl. Guess I think the NI is the better of the two...
