Performance and cost...........in certain applications, mineral oils simply do not provide the performance required AND using a pure POA(Polyalphaolefine) based oil is overkill..........remember, cost is proportional.......
So in certain circumstances a synthetic blend is a good choice in terms of cost VS required performance, it may be the best bang for your buck.............
